Two years after Santa Rosa Fangs, Californian singer-songwriter and musician Matt Costa announced the release of a new album. Yellow Coat is out on September 11th via Dangerbird Records. It takes inspiration from Vincent Van Gogh’s Dear Theo and John Steinbeck’s A Life in Letters and was produced by  Alex Newport (At the Drive-In, Death Cab For Cutie, Bleached).

“I think every other record that I’ve written, I wrote knowing that the songs would have an outlet,” Costa says “And for this one, I really didn’t. It was just a process I was going through, clearing myself of these feelings and thoughts.”
