Grandbruit is the project of Montreal native musician and sound artist Francis Tremblay. Creating his pieces primarily from field recordings and guitar loops, he utilizes the banalities of everyday life and his city’s landscape as inspiration for his music. He released a new album titled Rivière Rouge which is out via Midira Records.

He explains: “Rivière Rouge is a record seeping of nostalgia. The fragmented, fragile and often dense tracks are inspired by memories of past adventures because in the worst of times, it is important to remember the best of times.
