Ego Ella May is a South London songwriter and vocalist. Her music is an interesting mix of neo-soul, r’n’b and jazz lines. We introduced her with the single “Girls Don’t Always Sing About Boys” and “How Long ‘Til We’re Home“.; now she’s back with a new enchanting track titled “Give a Little“. The track is part of the upcoming debut album Honey For Wounds which will be out later this year via UpperRoom Records.

Produced by Eun and Melo-Zed, with additional instrumentation from Grammy Nominated Jazz Trumpeter Theo Croker, “Give A Little” was the last song to be written for the album and inspired after a Reiki healing session in Devon, England. The song is a beautifully written and brutally honest reflection of the past, Ego explains Give A Little is about being sick of your own sh*t, and hoping something will give and it will all make sense”. She adds “It’s about feeling like something’s got to give (to put it simply)… like there needs to be a silver lining because why tf do I keep making silly mistakes in life”.

Ego Ella May will exclusively perform tracks from her debut album ‘Honey For Wounds’ live in London at The Courtyard Theatre on 22nd October, tickets are available here.
