Trevor Ransom is a Seattle born producer and musician which we introduced two years ago with the EP Spring (Hush Hush Records). He announced the release of a new EP which will be out in March and it was inspired by acts as Nils Frahm, Helios and Jon Hopkins. “Perspective” is the first excerpt.

He explains: “For me this song is dramatizing and honoring the thought life of what you might call a typical, mundane day. I’ve been thinking about the importance of perspective and gratefulness. There’s this warmth and importance and life that I can experience every day regardless of how boring or even difficult the day is. Not saying I’ve arrived at all, but I’m learning – and this song captures some of my process. Musically, I started with frozen darting violin sounds. I wanted to create this beautifully icy melody and then fill it in with warm ambience to surround it.”
