We asked to different musicians, producers, bloggers, journalists, label owners to make a short list of their best albums of this year. This is the list curated by Maurizio Inchingoli, editor of the Italian webzine The New Noise.
For this occasion, I chose five albums which we can define “classics”; while I enjoyed other kind of releases, different from each others, I decided to select those albums that I listened to with particular pleasure. For me, the “pleasure” can be combined with a sort of catchiness, but I believe which this is worth for many other people of course … That characteristic, however, is tempered by the noisy “madness” of the Argentinean band Reynols, because you never forget your first love (the noise).
Bill Callahan – Sheperd In A Sheepskin Vest (Drag City)
Klippa Kloppa – Liberty (Snowdonia)
Rustin Man – Drift Code (Domino Records)
BeMyDelay – Bloom Into Night (Boring Machines)
Reynols – Minecxio Emanations 1993 – 2018 (Pica Disk)
