Two years after Afterglow, Icelandic singer-songwriter and musician Ásgeir announced the release of a new album. Bury The Moon is out on February 7th, 2020 via One Little Indian. We already shared “Youth” which was written in collaboration with his admired poet father Einar Georg Einarsson and translated by John Grant; he shared a new excerpt titled “Lazy Giants“.

According to the press release, it peers into the lingering spectre of economic collapse. Born out of an old demo recording session, the song we hear today is drastically different from the country-folk guitar-driven original. Vintage keys and synths shimmer atop a crisp drumbeat – the sparse song shivers with the echoes of isolation.
