Hugo Valentine is a multi-instrumentalist born and raised in London. He’s just released his third single “Memories”, capturing the essence of London culture with his catchy lyrics and melodic hooks. “Memories” was written from Hugo’s point of view as an adult looking at his childhood self. It explores Hugo’s fleeting moments of his childhood memories, looking into the unblemished and blissfully ignorant world of a child. He shares, “‘Memories’ explores the idea that as children we often wish to be grown up, but then when we finally reach maturity we wish once again for the purity and innocence of childhood, now only a distant memory. With the bittersweet taste of nostalgia, Memories is about longing for just one more moment in a time that’s long gone. Listen below.
