Cap’n Hector’s Crew is the project by Egyptian musician George Aboutar, at his first work Who The Hector Is The Crew?.

The album focuses on Hector’s travels, from his land of origin (“Camels & Sand“) to the Sinai Region (“Old Tourist Town“, “Move On“), arriving to Italy (“Termoli“), where Hector starts reflecting on his life and on a sense of loss. Hector’s thoughts touch several issues, like drugs (“I Tell You My Dreams“) and bad luck (“Move On“), with an eye always opened on the importance of experiences, bad or good they are.

The atmospheres are always characterized by a vintage mood, moving around 60’s and 70’s melodic lines, with incursions in ska influences of the band, that seems to be quite solid and conscious.

Who The Hector Is The Crew? will be officially out on November 15, but is already available for streaming via Soundcloud.
