Liam J Hennessy is a London-based musician and composer. From 2010 until 2014 he recorded under the alias of Drops, having released a 7” vinyl and an EP on Heat Death Records and a self-released split EP together with Umber. Two years ago we introduced him with Held (sound in silence), the first release with his own name.
Now he announced the sophomore album. In The Half Light is out on November 14th via London based label bigo & twigetti. Pre-order is available here. It was mastered by Taylor Deupree. According to the press release, Written over the course of two years in Liam’s home studio in London, In The Half Light explores found sounds from Sri Lanka, digital manipulations of live instruments, Japanese concepts of public and private persona and the impact of loss.
