School of X is a moniker of Copenhagen-based musician and songwriter Rasmus Littauer also known for his work as a drummer for MØ, Lord Siva and more. He announced the release of a new EP which will be out on November 15th via Tambourhinoceros. “Destiny” is the first excerpt which shows the vocals grace and delicacy and the minimal line of the sound.

According to the press release, it emphasises Rasmus Littauer’s urge to constantly change and explore new areas of music. Inspired by Copenhagen’s Eks-skole (x school) that arose in the 1960s as an anti-establishment arts collective by Andy Warhol collaborator, filmmaker, and poet Jørgen Leth, the art historian Troels Andersen, visual artists Poul Gernes, and visual artist and poet Per Kirkeby, School of X is inspired by their focus on the creative process as a goal in itself instead of the end product.

About the name and the philosophy, Littauers explains: ”My friend Adrian Adler is the grandchild of Bjørn Nørgaard who was a part of Eks-skolen. There were no teachers and no students. It was a collective of artists. Eks-skolen is a really good name that I have adopted as School of X, as it encapsulates many of the feelings I have about creating music. I like new perspectives while I also think your own experiences and memories are important in order to make sense of all these new things.”
