Two years after Ensen, Tunisian-born/New York-based experimental singer-songwriter Emel Mathlouthi announced the release of a new album.  Everywhere We Looked Was Burning is out today via Partisan Records. We already shared “Rescuer“; “Wakers of the Wind” is a new excerpt. Watch the official video directed by herself.

”’Wakers of the Wind’ is a personal quest for freedom, an escape from stereotypes and doubts. It is a stance against the many forces seeking to reduce as individuals, society and planet to anything less than what we are. It is a call to live our own truths and be woke as the wind to the journeys of others,” explains Emel on the inspiration behind the song.
