Ryvage is the electronic solo project started in 2017 by Luxembourg based musician and producer Samuel Reinard. His music is inspired by 80s sci-fi movie soundtracks, industrial electro sound, immersive installation art and French literature. He recently released a new EP titled Tides which is out via Portable Peninsula Records. Today we have the pleasure to premiere the official video of the track “Program“.

His words about the track: “The track “Program” is a potpourri of my musical obsessions ranging from sci-fi atmospheres, to epic synths, glitched beats and heavily processed vocals. It’s almost the starting point of the Ryvage project and among the very first tracks I composed under that moniker.

I wrote the song during a period of my life marked by lots of changes and in a certain way a lack of direction. It was also raining 24 Hours a day, 7 days a week with almost no sun for weeks, so I spent a lot of time by myself in the studio playing around with vocoders and vocal effects.

The music video shows the day of a woman who seems to be hooked by elements of her past and who is torn between a very self-controlled public version of herself and an emotionally unstable inner self. I think a lot of people have gone or are going through such moments especially today in a world where social media seems to push people to play roles and to  show mostly the positive and self-confident version of themselves.”
