Planes On Paper are the Washington-based duo which include classically-trained guitarist Navid Eliot and photographer Jen Borst. We introduced them with the video of the track “Two Rivers“. Tomorrow they will release their first full-length. Edge Markings is out via Rainwater Records and Irascible Music. Ten tracks of delicate and gentle guitars lines, evocative vocals, melancholic mood and well-built melodies.
It was written mostly in the isolation of the rural pacific northwest and was recorded at Panoramic House in Stinson Beach by engineer Scott McDowell (Feist, The California Honey Drops). The recording sessions featured appearances from their friends Faustine Hudson (Damien Jurado, The Maldives) tracking drums, Josiah Johnson (The Head & The Heart) providing moral support and grocery selection, and The Golden Gate String Quartet.
We have the pleasure to premiere the full streaming of the album. Listen below and enjoy it.
