We introduced different times Italian pianist and composer Lorenzo Masotto (read our 2017’s talk with him). Two years after Aeolian Processes (Dronarivm) and White Materials (self-release), he announced the release of a new album. Frames is out on June 11th via the newborn modern classical label Lady Blunt Records. Pre-order is available here.
According to the press release, the album is a journey through different sound dimensions, in which the compositions are declined in poetic and varied electronic sounds. It is an album inspired by a long journey in the American deserts, which recalls the artist’s profound connection with nature. It features the violin of Laura Masotto, vocals from Stefania Avolio and cello by Leonardo Sapere.
The cover was designed by Alessandro Lugoboni, with artwork by artist Christophe Piallat. Today we have the pleasure to premiere the official video of the live studio recording session of the track “Frame” which shows the minimal, refined and evocative flow of his music. It was directed by Nicolò Filippozzi. Watch it below.
