Three years after Vinasounds vol1, Parisian experimental producer Nodey is back with a new track titled “G.H.O.S.T.”. The video is shot by visionary director Chen Tianzhuo, decorating Nodey’s epic cut with a bizarre and explicit narrative. His words about it: “I created the track to be as personal to me as possible, inspired by synths in European music, what I listened to as a child, 70s voice samples from New York rap as well as percussion from traditional Asian music. There is no real message or meaning in my personal production, it’s more about a feeling. I imagine a world in my brain and I just transpose that world to my laptop. It sounds like a journey through different eras, different worlds and different feelings.
I named the track ‘G.H.O.S.T’ because in my life I met some “specialists” who believe I was possessed by a spirit. I’m not sure if it’s true, but in kind of way, it made sense. And sometimes, I had this feeling that to be creative, I need to be connected with that ghost. This track is a good example of this process, I feel the inspiration of this track came from somewhere or something else.”
