James Nathan Jones is a Laurel-based pianist and composer that we introduced different times. One year after Sanctuary Sessions, he announced the release of a new full-length. Static Deviations is out on April 12th. The album focuses on the blending of organic elements (piano, cello, and the human voice) with electronics and manipulated tape loops.

Every track features a Tascam Portastudio in some capacity, and controlled tape noise is often used as another instrument. We already shared “As Of Old”; “Fragment” is a new excerpt. Listen below.
