Four years after Undertow, Derbyshire trio Drenge release their third album titled Strange Creatures. Moving toward to more thoughtful songwriting and slower rhythms, the band break up the line with the previous albums and give a different taste to their sound. Songs like “Autonomy” and “Bonfire of the City Boys” keep the connection with the band’s previous works. The top part of the album seems to be the second half, from “No Flesh Road” to the closing track “When I Look Into Your Eyes”. Not as aggressive as the past two albums, but still one of the most convincing act in the contemporary British rock panorama.
