One year after collaboration with Masayoshi Fujita, German musician Jan Jelinek has announced the release of two new albums, out on May 4th via his own label Faitiche. Zwischen (German for ‘between’) is a short version of radio play which was produced by Jan Jelinek for German public broadcaster SWR2, “Zwischen” brings together twelve sound poetry collages using interview answers by public figures.
Improvisations And Edits, Tokyo 26.09.2001 was already released on cd in 2002 via Soup-Disk and Sub Rosa and will now be available on vinyl. The album features Germana artist and the Japanese trio Computer Soup (Satoru Hori – trumpet, Osamu Okubo – toys & electronics, Kei Ikeda – toys & electronics). The eight tracks were recorded one afternoon in the trio’s living room in Tokyo. Listen to “Straight Life” below.
