We asked to different musicians, producers, bloggers, journalists, label owners to make a short list of their best albums of this year. This is the list curated by Markus Acher (Notwist, Spirit Fest).

Bons – Gras H’utsi
Kevin Cormack , Mat Fowler ( Jam Money ) and Matt Hunt are Bons, and throw around sparkling fragments of pop-songs, instrumentals, field-recordings, ambient-pieces etc…. and you never know, what’s coming next. A totally unique soundworld…stunning and beautiful .

Oro Swimming Hour – Penrose Winoa
The debut-album by Oliver Wilde and Nicholas Stevenson from Bristol is filled with wonderful LoFi-Homerecording-Pop-masterpieces, melancholic and uplifting, beautifully arranged and recorded, addictive like early Sebadoh or Elliott Smith.
And great artwork, too.

Ryuichi Sakamoto – Async
A very minimalistic and strict, experimental and accessible record. Very touching.

Tenniscoats – Music exists’ vol.4
There is nothing I’ve listened to more than to tenniscoats. ‘Music exists’ is a psychedelic pop-masterpiece, with incredible incredible songs, that go straight into the heart.

Irreversible Entanglements – Irreversible Entanglements
Moor Mother with a spiritual free-jazz-band…a dream !!  Intense, full of anger and full of beauty. With all the reactionary, nationalistic, racist  tendencies allover the world, this is such an important record.
