We already mentioned British-based half Czech half Turkish songwriter Melis Soyaslanova (ex IYES) some weeks ago, when she released her first self-produced demo, Love Song Idea. Now she si back with a new, touching pop ballad entitled Flower, an exquisite pop jewel dedicated to her father.

About her new piece, Melis herself explains: “Flower is the track from the EP that really holds a special place for me. I wrote it during 2016 which seemed to be a bit of a rough patch for me. The sentiment of the song is that going through sadness and being in a dark place isn’t forever. There is hope and better things, if only one doesn’t give up. This song is the encouragement for that. I recorded the idea, like Love Song Idea, on my iPhone. I began to record parts of it in my apartment and in a small Berlin studio space with Josh Christopher.”

Melis’ upcoming EP, Parallels, will be out soon, but you can already pre-order one of the very limited (200) 10” Grey Vinyl via Qrates.
