Connecting Dots. A playlist as a map to reach new places.

In this episode we’ll take you to the fascinating sounds of subsaharian Africa. From European based bands ethio contaminated like Ukandanz and Imperial Tiger Orchestra, to the original master and inventor of ethiojazz, Mulatu Astatke. Then we’ll move to the Niger Delta, discovering the power of afrobeat. Starting from the renovation of Orlando Julius’ sound thanks to The Heliocentrics and ending with the legacy of the legend Fela Kuti: in rhythm, with his historical drummer Tony Allen and in the political message, stressed by the music of his son, Seun Kuti.
