My AweSOMe Preview is back. This year we have the pleasure to share 55 previews from september, october, november releases. Artwork by Francesco Rodriguez. This is the Volume 4; it includes Deison, Sankt Otten & N, Junkfood, The Star Pillow, Shield Patterns, Seabuckthorn, Legiac, ERGO, Giulio AldinucciListen below.

Tracklist:

1. Deison – Tape 2. Cristiano Deison is one of our favorite artist. One year later collaborations with Matteo Uggeri, Gianluca Favaron and Maurizio Bianchi, he will release a new album. Any Time Now will be out via Manyfeetunder and Loud!. “Tape 2” is the first excerpt.

2. Sankt Otten & N – Männerfreundschaften und Metaphysik (excerpt). SANKT OTTEN and N‘s collaboration album titled Männerfreundschaften und Metaphysik combines Electronica and Kraut Rock with unusual dynamics of Ambient, Drone and Noise. The eight pieces on the album are based on freely improvised studio sessions and have all been recorded live, with a few overdubs added by SANKT OTTEN later. It wll be out on September 23 via Denovali Records.

3. Junkfood – Masquerade. Italian Masters is the result of collaboration between Enrico Gabrielli and Junkfood (Paolo Raineri, Michelangelo Vanni,  Simone Calderoni e Simone Cavina). It is a sort of dedication to Piero Umiliani, Ennio Morricone and Armando Trovajoli. It will be out on October 27 via Cinedelic. Read our interview about it.

4. The Star Pillow – Concurrence. The Star Pillow is a Paolo Monti’s guitar drone-ambient-experimental project born in December 2007. He released one of the best album of this year titled Above (Time Released Sound). A new album titled The Star Pillow vs Tacet Tacet Tacet will be out soon via Laverna Netlabel. We are glad to share the first excerpt “Concurrence“.

5. Shield Patterns – Cerulean. Manchester-based duo Shield Patterns (Claire Brentnall e Richard Knox) have announced details of their second album Mirror Breathing, set for release on September 2nd via Gizeh Records. The record also features cellist Julia Kent. It follows 2015’s Violet EP. Claire had this to say about Mirror Breathing: “The album for me is about feeling connected; exploring what it means to be a friend, to be in love, to be an individual, to be part of a collective unconscious. It’s about the beauty of imperfection, of making mistakes, and the discoveries that are made by chance as we learn to exist.”

6. Seabuckthorn – Returnee. Seabuckthorn is the project of British musician Andy Cartwright. One year later They Haunted Most Thickly, he will return with a new ep titled I Could See The Smoke that will be out via Lost Tribe Sound. “Returnee” is the first excerpt.

7. Legiac – Sirius of Procyon. Legiac began in 2007 with the collaboration of Don and Roel Funcken (Funckarma, Quench) and Cor Bolten (Dif:use). One year later The Faex Has Decimated, they will retuurn with a new album. The Voynich Manuscript will be out on September 9 via Dronarivm.

8. ERGO – Meniere’s disease. ERGO is the solo project of Marco Malasomma. Composer,electronic musician and percussionist, has dedicated years to researching sound through the use of concrete sounds, field recordings and real time processingMisophonie is the new album that will be out via HysM?.

9. Giulio Aldinucci – Rondine. We wrote different times about Italian composer Giulio Aldinucci. One year later Spazio Sacro and the great collaboration with Pleq for The Prelude To, he has announced a new solo release. Goccia will be out on Spetember 30 via Home Normal.
