Enigmatic producer Crypt Thing will release his debut four-track EP on 17th June by South-East London label Squareglass. “Shodan” is the first excerpt that shows the minimal electronic sound that crosses whispered vocals and ‘telluric’ rhythms movements. Listen below.

Inspired by themes of supercomputers and artificial intelligence, Crypt Thing created a collection of tracks that draws from and corresponds with various narratives of science fiction and popular culture. Each track is named after a mythical supercomputer/intelligent system (Shodan, Normad, Euclid, and Solace), and portrays it in a way that breathes new life into these fictional, elusive entities.
